Life post lockdown

The uncertainty which the Covid-19 pandemic has brought in is something beyond imagination. One thing that is certain is life is not going to be the same for the next few months.

Even if the lockdown is lifted, will our lives be normal? I really doubt it. Who will take the risk of letting house maids inside your house, unless you have a facility to keep them at home?

The fear will remain. Using public transport will be totally out of question for some time unless you really have to go out and you have no other option. But yes, it might open up market for affordable and/or second-hand bikes and cars as people would prefer to use their own vehicles.

Most likely, the schools and colleges would reopen in September, which seems to be practical.

Shopping malls and cinema halls would have to wait until they return to normalcy. It is actually impossible to assess how many people would suffer and how much losses they will bear in this uncertain time.

But, for how long can we stay in lockdown? It is the responsibility of each one of us to help curb this infection. Hand sanitisers and face masks would become the norm and the essentials before we step out. Washing hands regularly or sanitising them frequently would become our lifestyle.
